VPR Facilities Use Rules

VPR FACILITIES USE AGREEMENT

REQUIRED FOR ALL MEMBERS and ONE-DAY GUESTS

In order to be on site and/or use the VPR Club facilities you must be a member in good standing or a one-day guest of a member who is on-site when you are.  NO EXCEPTIONS. Please comply with the following rule set to ensure an enjoyable and safe visit for everyone.

1) All gates must be closed and locked when leaving the riding/camping area and the clubhouse must be locked, and lights turned off when the last member leaves the grounds.

2) Check the VPR calendar prior to coming to the grounds.  There may be special activities scheduled which could close the club to members.  Announcements are emailed/texted.  Be sure your contact information is current.  Special activities may also be visible on the VPR website calendar.

3) Always bring your cell phone and keep a record of the gate code in your phone.

4) Except for events closed to members, you have open access to VPR.  If you wish to camp overnight, please notify a board member to make them aware you will be on the grounds.  IMPORTANT: To keep our grounds clean, orderly, and enjoyable for all members, trailers, motorhomes, vehicles, and personal property may not be left unattended overnight.

5) If the arenas are prepared and locked until a show day, that information will be posted on the website and an email/text notice will be sent to you in advance.  Following a heavy rain, the arenas may be closed to protect the footing and avoid injury to riders and horses.  Check the website for arena closures and conditions. It is your responsibility to check for safe footing.

6) The arenas are groomed Friday mornings, weather permitting.  Do not enter the arena when hoses or sprinklers are present. The sprinklers are on timers and set up for night watering.  Do not turn on the water in the arenas.

7) No ATVs or similar vehicles are allowed.

8) When you use a stall or tie your horse to your trailer, please clean up after your horse by putting manure in the manure pile located by the dumpster.  Do NOT put manure in the creek. Do NOT put manure in the trash or recycle.  MEMBERS MUST STAY ON SITE WHEN YOUR HORSES ARE.  Stalls, turnouts and the main arena left uncleaned are subject to a $40 cleaning fee.

9) You are welcome to use any of the obstacle equipment but please return them to where you originally found them.

10) NO lunging or feeding is allowed in the main or warm up arenas.  Horses may be turned out in the warm up arena in accordance with posted guidelines.

11) Do not tie your horse to arena fencing.  Tie only to your trailer or the hitching posts.  You cannot leave the property and leave your horse, dog or minor child unattended.  Dogs must be fully 100% controlled by their owners.  Always immediately pick up after your dog and do not leave it unattended.

12) Any Junior Rider under the age of 18 must always be supervised by an adult VPR member when on VPR grounds and their safety is ultimately the parents'/guardians’ responsibility.

13) Trainers/non-trainers may not conduct the business of individual lessons, group lessons or any other paid-for riding instruction on VPR grounds.

14) If injury or property damage occurs, after obtaining appropriate care, contact a board member. Important numbers are located on the patio announcement board.  Please complete the form and leave it in the bulletin board case.  If you are aware of a hazard or anything in need of repair, please fix it if possible or notify a VPR board member.  Names are posted on the bulletin board on the patio.

15) River Trails is private property. Ride it at your own risk.

16) To ensure that only VPR members have access to our facility do NOT give the combination to non-members.  Non-members are not allowed on VPR property, not even with a VPR member escort unless they have purchased a one-day guest pass.

17) Comply with all VPR Club policies and By-Laws.
